Director

I am an “eternal optimist’’. I was born in Uganda, but left the country when the Ugandan Asians were thrown out, during the despotic rule of Idi Amin when I was 11, and qualified with a PhD in Engineering sponsored by the Ministry of Defence from University of Newcastle following a state education.

After 13 years in banking, learning the high-finance ropes, I quit the banking sector and have been involved in the care sector since 2003 and was initially attracted to the industry in the belief that a commercial model of care for older people could treat them with greater dignity and compassion than they were receiving in the geriatric wards in the health service

In 2014 I founded Lotus Care, a long-term care services business and purchasing our first care home in Telford, I began the journey to realise my vision of becoming recognised as the leading provider of high-quality relationship-centred care for all residents. Three years on, there are now seven Lotus Care Homes across England, with more in the pipeline.

I have been a Director on the Board of Partners in Care since 2015

Aside from this, in my personal life I’m married with son and daughter, I regard myself as multi-tasking businessman from staying fit, eating a good breakfast and my favourite sport, coaching and playing cricket.
