Director
I have worked in social care for over 13 years, my experience includes various posts. Currently I work for Affinity Homecare, and I am the registered manager. My responsibilities include managing the business, ensuring regulated compliance is maintained and supporting the health and wellbeing of staff and the clients.
I work alongside internal partners within our parent company, and these include HR, Finance, Payroll, Compliance, Recruitment and Marketing team, and other managers in the company where I can attend different training sessions in relevant topics. I have also attended public speaking events to share knowledge/best practice and with colleagues and the local authority alongside networking with other providers. I have supported and shared different ideas for the social media campaign within the Shropshire area.
I have recently volunteered for local charities, and I love the feeling of being able to give something to our local community.
Working alongside Partners in Care over the last 7-8 years has always provided me with different insights and opinions. I’ve always enjoyed being a member, I share ideas and I feel that I get listened too and supported to bring those ideas to meetings whether that be the Registered Manager meetings or having 1:1 conversations.
I was nominated onto the Board of Partners in Care in 2022 as a Director and I am looking forward to working with others.
I hope that my positive attitude and enthusiasm can be put to good use as a member of the Partners in Care Board.
