Director

My family are all from the Wirral, but as an army child I spent much of my childhood overseas before moving to Telford as a teenager. I later left to attend university and, while studying, began working in a care home – the start of what became a lifelong career in care.

My first role was supporting older people, but I soon discovered my true passion lay in working with people with learning disabilities. Over the years, I have held a variety of positions including Outreach Officer, Day Care Manager, Regional Manager, and CQC Inspector. I particularly valued my time with the CQC, as ensuring high-quality care has always been a strong personal and professional passion. However, I missed working directly with the people we support – the laughter, the relationships, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Last year, I made the decision to return to frontline services and am now employed as a Registered Manager with Consensus. I have worked with Partners in Care over the years and welcome the opportunity to join the Board to support colleagues across the sector and continue championing high-quality, person-centred care in what can often be a difficult to navigate landscape.
