  • Explain current legal responsibilities and professional standards relating to medicines management
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safe medicines management processes throughout the medicines pathway, including storage, recording, handling, disposal, and reporting concerns
  • Apply person-centred principles to provide equitable medicines support that promotes choice, dignity, independence, inclusion, and shared decision-making
  • Recognise factors that contribute to medication errors and near misses, and describe strategies that reduce risk and improve safety
