Who is the course for
Those working in health and social care who are involved in direct care or care planning, and those completing the Care Certificate.
Course aims
The learner will gain an understanding of the importance and value of Person Centred Care and how to establish this in practical and positive ways. The course covers a range of learning outcomes from the Care Certificate Standard 5: Work in a Person Centred way
At the end of the course the learner will be able to:
1. Understand person centred values
2. Describe relevant laws and legislation
3. Understand working in a person-centred way
4. Understand how mental capacity is relevant to person centred care
5. Understand the importance of identity and self esteem to promote well being
