Staff whose role includes 'Safeguarding Lead ‘and have previously attended the Partners in Care Safeguarding Adults - your role as safeguarding lead course.
What does this course cover?
This course will take a reflective approach to the role as safeguarding lead culminating in the development of an action plan.
Learning objectives:
· Summarise the key requirements of the safeguarding lead role
· Analyse the term ‘learning’ in an adult safeguarding context
· Describe how continuous improvement looks from an organisational perspective
· Identify developments in the role and external networks built
· Demonstrate action around developing a positive safeguarding culture
· Outline policy and procedure development reflecting good practice around whistleblowing and reporting safeguarding concerns
· Consider the role of coaching, mentoring and supervision as development tools
· Describe how local and national Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SAR’s) might be utilised
· Produce an action plan detailing next steps
