We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our organisation as Chief Officer, representing the voice of adult social care providers across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Cheshire. This is a unique opportunity to influence local and national policy, drive sector-wide improvements, and lead a dynamic organisation committed to equality, inclusion, and excellence in care.
About the Role
As Chief Officer, you will:
- Lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of the organisation.
- Represent the sector in local and national forums, media, and government consultations.
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across health, social care, and the third sector.
- Ensure there is robust governance process, financial oversight, and service quality for the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a leader who:
- Has senior level experience in social care, health, or public sector leadership.
- Is a strategic thinker able to manage change and lead organisational development.
- Can inspire teams and build collaborative relationships.
- Is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable communities.
- Can lead transformation which includes digital innovation/engagement with providers in the local area across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Cheshire.
- Has the ability to develop and deliver income generation plans by being adaptable, thriving in uncertain funding or political environments by using commercial awareness to spot opportunities and partnerships that will strengthen the organisation.
