Partners in Care held its Annual Conference and AGM on 24 September 2025 at AFC Telford United. 99 delegates attended including representatives of our members, Partners in Care staff and Board members, guest speakers, external partners, our sponsors and representatives of our marketplace exhibitors.
Speakers included:
- Dr Mandy Stoker, Director, E4environment Ltd, on ‘Environmental Sustainability and the Care Sector – Because there’s no Plan B'.
- Karen Littleford, Safeguarding Adults Lead, Partners in Care, on ‘Making Bravery Redundant’.
- Telford & Wrekin Council Quality Assurance Team, in conversation with Sue Robson, Chair of Partners in Care Board, on ‘Supporting Quality Improvement in Telford & Wrekin’.
The shortlisted nominees and winners of our annual Excellence in Care Awards for 2025 were announced. We received 61 nominations across the 11 Award categories. Nominations were judged by a panel of independent judges from Shropshire Council, Telford & Wrekin Council, NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin ICB, Skills for Care and a person with lived experience. The Award winners were as follows:
- Learner of the Year – Lisa Smith, Sambrook House Residential Care Home, Sambrook.
- Activity Co-ordinator of the Year – Rachel List, Doddington Lodge.
- Domestic Team Member of the Year – Sally Avery, Condover College.
- Office-based Team Member of the Year – Tina Mahoney, Right at Home South Cheshire.
- Chef/Catering Team Member of the Year – Michelle Harmer, Sambrook House Residential Care Home, Sambrook.
- Care Employer of the Year – JAM Care.
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year – SureCare Shropshire.
- Registered Manager of the Year – Mel Townsend, Vision Homes.
- Environmentally Sustainable Care Provider of the Year – Sambrook House Residential Care Home, Sambrook.
- Care Provider of the Year – Right at Home South Cheshire.
- Carer of the Year – Adam Faulkner, Vision Homes.
